My client is looking for a talented IoT AWS Engineer to join our fast‑growing engineering team in Tampere. In this role, you’ll design, build, and scale cloud‑native IoT solutions that power real‑time device connectivity, data ingestion, and automation across our product ecosystem. You’ll work closely with embedded, cloud, and data engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high‑performance services.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect and develop AWS‑based IoT backend services, leveraging services like IoT Core, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, and ECS/Fargate.
  • Build highly reliable Java microservices for device management, telemetry ingestion, and real‑time data processing.
  • Implement secure device communication protocols, authentication flows, and OTA update capabilities.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to integrate embedded firmware, analytics, and cloud systems into cohesive IoT pipelines.
  • Ensure cloud environments follow best practices in reliability, cost optimization, observability, and security.
  • Contribute to CI/CD automation, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and performance benchmarking.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong professional experience with Java in backend or microservices development.
  • Hands‑on expertise with AWS (IoT Core, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures, containerisation (Docker/ECS), and Infrastructure-as-Code tooling.
  • Understanding of IoT communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP, BLE, etc.).
  • Passion for solving complex system problems and working with connected devices at scale.
