We are now looking for 2 Doctoral researchers to join us in the Industrial Engineering and Management unit Faculty of Technology. The Tehtävä is a fixed-term appointment for 3 years. The Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) discipline combines engineering and technology, business economics methods, and human factors and behaviour. IEM is unique in its multidisciplinary approach and the integrative nature that provides value and enhances efficiency and effectiveness in organisations. The IEM research focuses specifically on the following areas: operations and supply chain management, project management, product management, work well-being, and productivity. The IEM is a research unit within the Faculty of Technology. The IEM research unit conducts relevant research in its field, provides educational services, and contributes to societal development. About The Job As a doctoral researcher, you work in either the circular economy -related FREIMAN project or the construction industry -related AI Champion project. The FREIMAN project focuses on the business opportunities of remanufacturing, data-driven business models, and product development. The AI Champion project develops artificial intelligence agents that improve automation and information flow in building services engineering supply chains. What we offer? Read more about living in Oulu. Who are you? What We Expect From You You have a master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. You have good English skills. Finnish skills are also a big advantage, as the project involves cooperation with Finnish stakeholders. Practical work experience and/or research expertise are considered an advantage. You have good cooperation, teamwork, and interaction skills, as you will be working with different stakeholders. You are analytical and can manage your research work effectively. Salary The Tehtävä is fixed-term for 3 years. The start date is or as agreed. The salary will be based on the levels OV02-04 of the demand level chart for teaching and research staff of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (maximum of 50 % of the job-specific component). The gross salary will be approx € per month (before taxes).
