Role Overview

As a Head of Accounting, you will be responsible for the record-to-report process and the preparation of consolidated financial statements on monthly, quarterly and annual basis. You will actively develop the processes with your team. You will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Financial reporting and leadership
  • You will be responsible of leading the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with FAS standards; IFRS experience is considered an advantage.
  • You will act as a process owner to the record-to-report process and its active development.
  • You will manage the accounting teams globally.
  • You will manage tax returns, VAT reporting, and statutory filings for the Group’s Finnish subsidiaries together with the accounting team.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Support financial analysis and forecasting with insights.
  • Enhance reporting quality and automation in collaboration with the finance team.
Process & System Development
  • Drive development of accounting and consolidation processes.
  • Participate in ERP and consolidation system development initiatives and support digitalization, automation and use of AI within the finance function.
  • You will lead financial integration processes for acquired companies and ensure adherence to group accounting policies.
Audit Collaboration
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors.
Taxation & Transfer Pricing
  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy of corporate tax returns.
  • Monitor tax legislation changes and ensure compliance in financial processes.
  • Oversee transfer pricing and maintain annual transfer pricing documentation (Master File / Local File).
  • Support the business in applying pricing models and ensuring adherence to OECD and local requirements.
  • Work with tax advisors and auditors on transfer pricing matters.
Qualifications & Experience Education & Background
  • Relevant academic degree (e.g., Master of Science in Economics).
  • You have experience and proven track record of group accounting, leading accounting teams and developing accounting practices.
  • Solid understanding of FAS and IFRS and group accounting required.
  • Experience in working in a global Yritys is considered as an advantage.
Technical Skills
  • Solid understanding of financial systems (e.g., NetSuite or similar ERP + consolidation tools).
  • Experience in automation or development projects is required.
  • Good command of Finnish taxation matters and experience in transfer pricing.
Personal Strengths
  • Precise, analytical, and proactive working style.
  • Ability to manage complex entities and deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, ability develop and stream line processes and develop teams.
  • Comfortable working both operationally and in development-focused tasks.
  • Proficiency in English and Finnish; German or French is an advantage.
