Role: Application Support Specialist for Telecom OSS Plan & Build

Join a high-performing telecom engineering team as a DevOps Engineer, where you will drive CI/CD automation, infrastructure modernization, and operational excellence across BSS/OSS systems. You will work on large-scale telecom platforms including billing, CRM, provisioning, and network management while enabling faster releases, high availability, and resilient operations. This role offers deep exposure to Kubernetes, cloud environments, automation frameworks, monitoring tools, and multi-vendor telecom ecosystems in an Agile and DevOps-driven environment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor application health (JBoss services, GeoServer layers, ETL job status), triage incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), deliver fixes/workarounds, and update runbooks/KEDB.
• Coordinate major incidents across GIS operations, network planning, construction, sales, and integration teams.
• Operate and optimize GeoServer (workspaces, stores, layers, SLD styles), manage WMS/WFS endpoints, caching (GeoWebCache), and security (role‑based access).
• Publish and maintain geospatial layers for coverage, service areas, cable routes/ducts, as‑built updates, and sales pricing zones.
• Develop, run, and support FME Workbench ETL pipelines to ingest vendor/contractor data (CAD/CSV/Shape/GeoJSON), transform to canonical schemas, and load into PostGIS/Oracle Spatial.
• Manage JBoss/WildFly deployments, JVM tuning, datasource configuration, and logging.
• Operate spatial analyses (buffering, intersects, network traces, catchment calculations) to produce BB accessibility maps, serviceability, and pricing layers.
• Enforce RBAC across GeoServer/JBoss, secure credentials, API scopes; manage auditing and change tracking for geospatial layers and pricing surfaces.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

Must have:

• GeoServer administration: publishing layers, SLD styling, security, GeoWebCache, WMS/WFS best practices.
• FME Workbench (Safe Software): ETL design, data validation, schema mapping, automation/scheduling.
• Java & JBoss (WildFly): application support, REST API basics, JVM tuning, datasource management.
• Spatial databases: PostgreSQL/PostGIS or Oracle Spatial, SQL, spatial indexes, performance tuning.
• GIS fundamentals: projections/CRS, topology, network routing basics, spatial analysis operators.
• ITIL L2 support: incident triage, RCA authoring, problem records, change governance/CAB participation.
• Integration patterns: REST/JSON, file-based exchange, message queues; idempotency and retry policies.

Good to have:

• Experience with front-end map libraries (OpenLayers/Leaflet) and SLD/Mapbox style authoring.
• Familiarity with TM Forum frameworks (eTOM for Plan & Build), and OSS inventory models.
• Exposure to coverage modeling tools, propagation/attenuation basics for BB availability.
• Knowledge of costing/pricing rules and how they intersect with build phases and serviceable areas.
• Scripting for ops automation (Bash/Python) and CI/CD for ETL/GeoServer packaging
