A leading international design & build contractor delivering major mission-critical and data centre projects across Europe is seeking an experienced Campus HSE Senior Manager to join its growing project delivery team.

About the Role

This Tehtävä will provide strategic Health, Safety and Environmental leadership across large-scale campus developments, overseeing multiple construction phases, contractors, and HSE teams simultaneously. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving a world-class safety culture while ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across complex construction environments. This is an opportunity to work on some of the largest and most technically advanced construction projects currently being delivered across the Nordic region.

Responsibilities HSE Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-wide Health, Safety and Environmental strategies.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all project stakeholders.
  • Drive behavioural safety programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Yritys standards, client requirements, and local legislation.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and support project-based HSE Managers, Advisors, and Coordinators.
  • Establish clear safety objectives and performance expectations across project teams.
  • Support project leadership in achieving safety and operational targets.
  • Foster strong collaboration between construction, engineering, commercial, and client teams.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee high-risk construction activities including lifting operations, energisation, work at height, confined spaces, excavations, and temporary works.
  • Review risk assessments, method statements, permits, and safe systems of work.
  • Drive contractor compliance and risk management programmes.
Auditing & Performance Management
  • Establish and monitor HSE KPIs, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and leadership safety tours.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Present HSE performance updates to senior stakeholders and client representatives.
Emergency Response & Environmental Management
  • Lead emergency preparedness planning and response procedures.
  • Support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive best practice in environmental management, waste reduction, and resource efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of HSE experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, industrial, pharmaceutical, energy, or mission-critical environments.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior HSE leadership role.
  • Proven track record delivering HSE performance on major construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of high-risk construction activities and associated control measures.
  • Experience leading and developing teams of HSE professionals.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within complex contractor environments and multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Data Centre or Mission Critical project experience.
  • Experience supporting campus-scale developments or multi-project programmes.
  • Previous experience working with international clients and major contractors.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and integrated management systems.
  • Experience implementing digital HSE reporting systems and performance dashboards.
