We're looking for a skilled software developer with solid experience in Java and geospatial technologies. We hope you've built real-life information systems from the ground up – not just written code, but shaped well-structured, scalable, and maintainable solutions. This is a hands-on developer role with a backend focus and a geospatial twist. Solid experience in Java – ideally 5+ years of hands-on development At least 3 years of experience with GIS technologies such as PostGIS, GeoServer, QGIS or other spatial data solutions A strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, and cloud platforms Experience working with relational databases Experience with Azure or AWS is appreciated Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular is a plus A collaborative mindset and the ability to write clean, maintainable code To ensure effective communication, including with Finnish-speaking customers, fluency in both English and Finnish is essential for this role Cool, but what's in it for me?
