We are now looking for a Physiologist for a permanent position to join our Garmin Jyväskylä team.

Garmin Jyväskylä employs a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, physiologists, data scientists, and user experience experts.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Physiology team works at the core of Garmin Jyväskylä R&D, researching, developing and validating new physiological features and experiences that Garmin users worldwide rely on and enjoy. The role involves documenting and sharing research insights, planning data collection campaigns, and performing diverse analyses to support algorithm development and validation. In close collaboration with Data Science and UX teams, we transform physiological research and user needs into science-based algorithms, bringing meaningful, measurable impact to every user experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in Sports Science or equivalent
• A strong understanding of human physiology, particularly in the sport and well-being context
• Strong logical and mathematical thinking, comfort with numbers, and solid problem-solving skills
• Excellent teamwork and presentation skills
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
• Availability to work at or regularly visit the office in Jyväskylä, Finland
• Availability to work until 5 PM, 1–2 times per week, to collaborate with international teams
• Preferably starting at the beginning of 2026

What Sets You Apart

• Education and/or experience in biomechanics, strength training or sport coaching
• Education and/or experience in comprehensive human biology including sleep, stress, female health etc.
• Expertise in study design and data analysis planning
• Experience in the sports or wellness technology industry
