We are seeking a highly capable Accounting Manager to lead our Finnish accounting operations and contribute to our global finance framework. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, local statutory compliance, and seamless alignment with global accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP).

You will work closely with regional and global finance teams, support audit readiness, strengthen internal controls, and help drive continuous improvement across processes, systems, and reporting.

What You Will Do
Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for the Finnish entity in accordance with IFRS and relevant US GAAP corporate reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review entity-level financial statements and contribute to consolidated group reporting.
• Ensure accurate interYritys reconciliations, eliminations, and multi-currency translations.
• Support preparation of consolidated group financial statements in collaboration with global finance partners.

Compliance, Controls & Governance

• Ensure full compliance with Finnish statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong internal control frameworks in line with global policies (including SOX-related controls where applicable).
• Manage relationships with external auditors, local tax authorities, and accounting firms.
• Monitor updates to IFRS, Finnish GAAP (KPL/KPA), tax changes, and corporate accounting policies.

Process Optimization & Systems

• Drive continuous improvement across accounting processes, documentation, and reporting quality.
• Support financial systems enhancements, automation initiatives, and SAP S/4HANA optimisation.
• Champion standardization and best practices across Nordic and global finance operations.

Business Partnering & Collaboration

• Provide financial insights and accounting guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by translating financial information into clear, actionable insights.
• Support global finance initiatives, projects, and integration activities where required.
• Provide coaching or knowledge-sharing to regional teams as appropriate.

What You Bring

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting; Big 4 background is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of IFRS; familiarity with US GAAP and SOX requirements is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Finnish statutory accounting, tax requirements, and audit processes.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, KHT, or equivalent) are valued but not mandatory.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate clearly with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with high integrity and a collaborative working style.
