Role Summary

The Service Business Development Director (Global Accounts – Europe) will act as a Senior Sales Leader responsible for driving service growth across the organisation’s European-headquartered global accounts. The primary focus of this role is to expand recurring Service Agreements by developing new sales opportunities, ensuring successful renewals, and identifying new clients for additional service adoption.

This role will collaborate closely with Outbound Account Managers, Regional Service Leaders, and the European Service Director to ensure alignment between sales growth and operational delivery. Whilst operational responsibility remains with the Service Director and local service leaders, this role will maintain close collaboration to ensure commitments are delivered to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Service Growth and Sales Leadership:

  • Lead the strategy for expanding recurring Service Agreements across assigned European-headquartered global accounts.
  • Drive new Service Agreement sales, focusing on both expansion within existing accounts and growth into new opportunities.
  • Review, assess, and oversee renewals to ensure account retention and year-over-year growth.
  • Identify and convert new opportunities by expanding market share and increasing the number and value of assets under agreement.
  • Collaborate with Outbound Global Account Managers to integrate service growth strategy into overall account planning.

Client Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Act as the senior sales point of contact for service discussions within assigned global accounts.
  • Partner with the European Service Director and Regional Service Leaders to align sales commitments with operational delivery.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration between Sales and Operations, maintaining a clear delineation of responsibilities.

Strategic Enablement:

  • Develop scalable service sales models and commercial strategies for replication across accounts.
  • Provide insight and feedback to improve pricing strategies, profitability, and competitiveness of Service Agreements.
  • Support the integration of embedded resources where client-specific needs require dedicated service delivery.

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven ability to drive sales and revenue growth in service-focused roles.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience structuring profitable Service Agreements.
  • Global mindset with sensitivity to regional nuances and business cultures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with strong client-facing capability.
  • Deep alignment with the organisation’s values and beliefs and a demonstrated commitment to customer service and collaboration.

Qualifications Required

  • 6-10+ years of experience in service sales, business development, or sales leadership, preferably within the Security, Integration, or Technology Services industries.
  • Demonstrated success in driving new and recurring revenue growth across large, complex accounts.
  • Experience negotiating and managing Service Agreements with multinational clients.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across Sales and Operational functions without blurring responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of SLAs, preventive maintenance, managed services, and embedded resource models.

Success Metrics

  • Grow the number and value of recurring Service Agreements across assigned European-headquartered global accounts.
  • Expand share of wallet by identifying service whitespace and converting more serviceable assets under agreement.
  • Improve overall service profitability through well-structured agreements and smart, data-informed pricing strategies.
  • Drive measurable service revenue growth for European-headquartered accounts across international markets.

Location

The role can be based anywhere in Europe and may include travel as required to support customer relationships and team growth.
