We are looking for a

VP, Legal

Responsibilities include:

Provide legal counselon various matters; contracts, compliance, and risk management including support for HR and Finance.

Corporate governance– coordinating board matters, preparing materials, organizing general meetings, supporting the drafting of stock exchange, press releases and being part of company´s Leadership Team meetings.

Customer and supplier agreements– participating in contract negotiations with global customers. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure they are legally sound and protect the organization's interests.

Compliance Oversight: Ensure the organization adheres to all applicable laws and regulations, minimizing legal risks.

Policy Development: Develop and implement company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.

Intellectual Property Rights(IPR)

Additionally the role included overall coordination, interpretation, and training related to legal matters.

The role reports to CEO and VP, Legal is a member of the Leadership Team. Currently, the role does not have direct reports.

Requirements:

• Hands-on Approach and entrepreneurial drive
• More than 5 years of experience post graduation as a corporate counsel or as an attorney in the relevant fields of law
• Experience in corporate law,e.g.drafting Board of Directors minutes and other key corporate documentation, public company environment is a benefit but not a strict requirement
• Experience in supporting business functions in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts of various types, understanding of proper organization of a company contractual management
• Sound legal judgement accompanied with capability to understand commercial requirements to appropriately balance between the two
• Preferably experience and understanding of the specific requirements in high technology business environment relatingi.e.to IPR management, personnel and other matters
• Education: Master of Laws (LL.M.)
• Excellent English and Finnish skills; both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a thorough understanding of legal principles and practices
