Tehtävä Overview

A Tehtävä for a department physician is available in the Clinical Chemistry division of the HUS Diagnostic Center, Suomi's leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services.

The role is located in the hematology laboratory and involves participation in diagnostic assessments, report preparation, and operational development within a team that handles approximately 20 million laboratory tests annually.

Responsibilities

• Act as an expert in clinical chemistry, contributing to diagnostic assessments and providing detailed reports.
• Participate in the development and improvement of laboratory operations.
• Apply extensive knowledge of hematology reporting, including morphology, flow cytometry of peripheral blood and bone marrow aspirates, and blood count analysis.
• Leverage experience in blood transfusion, coagulation disorder laboratory analysis, and hematology research as an advantage.
• Communicate effectively with unit members, clients, and partners in both Finnish and, where required, Swedish.

Qualifications

• Medical degree in a relevant field and licensed or authorized to practice medicine.
• Good oral and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory proficiency in Swedish, or vice versa.
• Experience in patient and customer facilities must include vaccination against infectious diseases as required by the Communicable Diseases Act.
• Healthcare unit staff must provide health status verification for tuberculosis.

Salary and Benefits

Starting salary ranges from €6,300 to €6,710 per month, with potential experience and other allowances. Performance‑based pay and additional incentive systems are also offered.
