Our automation department in Vantaa and Turku is looking for a new Department Manager. We are seeking a sales‑oriented Department Manager for our Vantaa and/or Turku offices to lead our automation business and support Etteplan’s growth. The scope of the role can be defined based on your expertise and situation: you may be responsible for one Sijainti (Vantaa) or both (Vantaa and Turku). In this role, you will be responsible for business growth, customer development, and leadership – managing both specialists and managers. You will be accountable for your department’s financial results and for developing customer and employee satisfaction. You will build growth through active sales and ensure your team has the best conditions for success. You will work closely with different units and stakeholders within Etteplan. You are a convincing communicator and negotiator, understanding the importance of customer‑oriented business for profitable growth.

Business growth and sales

• Responsible for growing the department’s business together with Etteplan’s sales organization
• Take an active role in sales and building new business opportunities
• Expand existing customer relationships and develop new long‑term customer partnerships

Leadership

• Lead and develop a team of specialists and managers
• Set clear goals and priorities, support performance, and develop the team’s technical and commercial skills
• Ensure customer projects are executed with quality, on schedule, and in line with commercial objectives
• Collaborate closely with project management to balance capacity, quality, and profitability

Collaboration and development

• Work with different units and functions within Etteplan to build competitive and value‑adding solutions
• Participate in developing service offerings, processes, and operational practices
• Promote long‑term customer success through a consultative and partnership‑based approach

Requirements for success

• Proven experience in growing customer accounts or business areas and working towards revenue and profitability targets
• Experience in leading personnel or expert teams, preferably including managerial roles
• Strong understanding of project delivery, commercial responsibility, and profitable business
• Motivational and goal‑oriented leadership style
• Suitable technical or commercial education
• Fluent in Finnish and English, both spoken and written
• Willingness to travel within the region

Salary & Benefits

The typical monthly salary for this Tehtävä ranges from €4,800 to €6,400 depending on experience. The role also offers the possibility of performance‑based bonuses.
