Your responsibilities

In this role you need to test all newly developed features, validate customer requirements and verify everything is completed as defined To succeed in that you will study our physical or virtualized system by using multiple system apps, simulating interfaces, running scripts and studying logs in linux. You will write tests based on customer requirements and system design documents as well as deliver test and validation reports along with system delivery. As a test engineer you are also responsible of our test system which requires flashing of devices, installing firmware and system update packages.

What we expect from you

The Tehtävä requires good communication and team working skills, and knowledge and experience on the following areas:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in software engineering
• SW testing experience or interest to SW testing
• Experience with Linux
• Ability to clarify issues found in system and collect information for developers
• Collaboration with developers as well as our customers
• Good written and spoken English
• Good collaboration skills Experience or knowledge in the following areas is considered as bonus:
• Knowledge of ethernet network protocols and tools (e.g. wireshark)
• Test automation
• Interfaces testing and mock-up (REST, GraphQL)
• Python and bash scripting skills
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• Experience with Jenkins
• Experience with virtualization software (e.g., VirtualBox, Hypervisor or Docker)
• ISTQB certificate

  This role is primarily on-site at our Tampere office (around 80% of your weekly hours), giving you the chance to collaborate closely with the team. It's a fixed-term Tehtävä for about one year.
